Jonas Källman was born on July 17, 1981 in Växjö. He is right handed and plays offense as left wing. He is one of the most successful international handball players in the 2000 decade, when he was a key player for the star Spanish team BM Ciudad Real, winning 28 titles before renaming the team as Atlético de Madrid.

Jonas started his career at Växjö HF and later he played for IFK, where he stayed for 2 years starting in 2002; then he arrived to Spain to play for the great BM Ciudad Real. After those successful years in Spain, Källman went back to his country to play first for Skövde and later sign for Pick Szeged. Jonas Källman was also a key player for the men´s handball national team that won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in London 2012, where he was named best left wing of the championship. He has been playing in Hungary since 2014 for SC Pick Szeged.
